Bordentown Regional Middle School Power School Portal Open
Good Afternoon BRMS Families,
The Power School portal for viewing schedules is now open. The link is below. In our past experience, the first time that families access Power School for the year, it has to be done on their website and not the app. With that being said, the app still may work, but if it does not, please go through the website.
As you are aware, we completely revamped the BRMS Bell Schedule to support our students and staff. After changing the Bell Schedule and working out all of the very fine details, our staff spent a tremendous amount of time scheduling our students into their classes. I could not be more proud of our staff for their hard work and effort with this task. During the process our administrative team, child study team, and guidance department have many factors to consider when placing our students in classes. These include, but are not limited to: the knowledge of each child’s learning preferences, identifying which students may work well together as well as which ones would benefit from being separated, and the developmental level that each student has reached during the prior school year. It is my hope that you will respect the decisions that have been made for the students and understand how much thought and effort went into completing the scheduling process. Given this information please note that we will not be altering any schedules at this time. I have informed our Guidance Counselors and Case Managers that if a family or student reaches out for a schedule change, they should not entertain the request.
Listed below you will also see BRMS Staff changes. Please note that the classroom supply list is posted on the BRMS Homepage. If you are having any issues with getting into PowerSchool, please contact Maria Moshinsky at mmoshinsky@bordentown.k12.nj.us.
One of the many benefits of the schedule change is that we were able to create multiple co-taught sections. If your student is in a co-taught section, it simply means that there will be 2 teachers in the classroom. When looking at Power School, you will see that there are 2 teachers listed. The goal of a co-taught section is to help support our students even more than we have in the past, as well as find innovative ways to challenge them.

For our 6th grade students and families, if you are having trouble getting into Power School, we will have staff on site during our Open Houses to help you through that process.
