Grading:

  • All work is due on the date given to students. Your grade will be determined by a point system – points received/points possible = 1 grade. Please remember – I do not give you a grade – you receive what you earn! I do not typically offer extra credit, so please make sure that you stay organized and stay on top of your grades! If you are absent, it is up to you to make up what you have missed. Any missed work can be found on Google Classroom or you can email me for any missed assignments. I am available before and after school in the event that you need extra help making up missed work.

  • As mentioned before, this course covers a lot of information. Please understand that you will receive quizzes, projects, and assignments quicker than you are typically used to.  This course may seem like a lot at first glance, however, being that this is only a semester course, we cover information at a rapid pace. This will allow you to focus on smaller pieces of information at a time, while also having more of an opportunity to bring your grade up, if need be!

Class Participation:
    • Class participation is essential in this course. We will do several reinforcement activities/worksheets to help build on the information we are learning about. Class participation is NOT all about who speaks the most in class...staying organized, always having correct materials, and behaving properly in class all play a role in your overall participation grade!
    • Remember, classwork/class participation are ways to boost your grade!
