This will be my third year at BRMS and I have loved every minute!! I am teaching 6th grade (with Ms. Jones) and 7th grade (just me) Language Arts again this year. I will also be running our Harry Potter club and co-advising IMPACT Club!

A little bit about my Language Arts class:
- We're going to work together to help you strengthen your skills as independent readers and writers by finding texts and methods that work SPECIFICALLY for you!!
- We're going to think about the ways that all of the skills and content we practice in LA have a connection to the world around us!
- We're going to use TV shows, movies, music, art, and different forms of "literature" to redefine how you "read" and analyze different "texts"!!
- We're going to think about and really dig into the power of interpretation!!
- We're going to use your identities, interests, passions, ideas, and feedback to make your learning reflect you!
My MOST IMPORTANT expectations:
- Extend kindness and respect to everyone and everything in our classroom (through your words and actions)
- Communicate with me!! If you're struggling with something (in or out of my class), excited about something, or need any sort of clarification / reassurance, just let me know so we can work together! I know there is more to you than being a student in Language Arts -- let me help you be the best version of you!
- Keep an open mind and a willingness to give things a try!
