Welcome to Mrs. Santillo's Science Class!

Welcome to a new semester!!  I am excited to start out this second half of the year with a great group of students.  I am teaching all three grade levels this year and look forward to exploring various areas of science throughout!  I will post the topic/ content area we are exploring each week for each grade level.  Simply click on the correct link on the left hand side to see which phenomenon your child is delving into this week.  I rarely assign homework as a stand alone task, but do require work to be completed at home if it was not able to be done in school.

About Me...

I have been teaching in Bordentown for 14 years, which is my entire teaching career.  I

taught at Clara Barton back in the days when it was a K-6 school.  I moved on to MacFarland

for a year to teach 7th  and 8th  grades, only to move yet a second time to what is now the

middle school.  Everyone always asks how I can teach “middle schoolers” and I cannot think

of a better age group to be with all day.

I am a mom to three very energetic children.  DJ is 8, Kaitlyn is 6, and David is 3.  They keep

me very busy, but are also a great reminder of how children absorb everything around

them.  I love to see the look on their face as they discover new things!  This is the reason

love to teach.

I grew up in South Jersey, so am a Philly fan ‘til the end.  I love to watch sports and still play

as often as I can.
