     Students should check over their BDA stories that were written last week.  Make sure 2 or if desired more, Smiley Face Tricks have been added; also that grammar too has been checked. Due 12/14/2018.

Given 12/5/18.  Using a Picture Prompt write a story using the BDA strategy. Due 12/7/18. The assignment is posted on Google Classroom.  The story must be done on Google Docs and shared with Mrs. Mann.  Be prepared to add more to the story on Friday the 7th.  

All Cores:  Given 11/26 due 1128:  Plants Around the World and answer the open-ended question using ACE. 

 

Keep reading each night.  When minutes read add up to 1/2 hour ... fill out the snowball paper challenge and bring it into class.

   To learn the concept of Time Management we will be doing, "Reverse Homework" in school this week.  Students will be given Homework and so that I can help them monitor their time in doing the Homework, they will be doing it in school the last 15 minutes of class. In other words do some on Monday, some on Tuesday, etc. This is a very valuable study skill.  I want them to get into the habit of looking in their planner when they get home from school to double check their Homework assignments; what is owed, overdue etc. We will only be doing 1 assignment but breaking it down over the days in school this week.

Read passage, answer all questions, write a response using ACE to the open-ended question (short  constructed response).  This is a one paragraph answer.

Given 10/2. Handout given in class.  Read the passage and answer the questions.  Then answer the open-ended question on another sheet of paper.  Students are to follow the example of how to answer an open-ended question (Short Constructed Response).  Use ACE in writing it (see handout).  Due 10/5
