If you're looking for some great award-winning reads, consider Battle of the Books!

Battle of the Books is a book club which meets during lunch.  If students wish to be on the competitive team that competes against other Burlington County schools, they must read at least 5 of the 15 assigned books by January. The lists change every year. Students are encouraged to begin reading over the summer.

Our 6th grade team is going to the Burlington County Battle on Monday, March 13th.  Students have enjoyed reading from a list of 15 books, ranging in genres from Horror (Wait 'til Helen Comes) to Fantasy (Tale of Despereaux) and survival (Stranded).  Each student has a unique favorite, and least favorite, from the list. They have been practicing answering specific questions about the books for months in preparation.  Our team captain is Sucheth Midoddi, who read the most books, and our secretaries are Manavi Gupta/assisted by Victoria Wheeler and Jillian Russo.
