Grade 7 Music

7th graders will expand their understanding of rhythm in this percussion intensive rotation.  They will spend their time playing bucket drums, creating percussion compositions, and exploring what it means to be a drummer.  7th graders will be introduced to new ways to put music on paper through musical graphic puzzles and maps.  Students will also reflect on the power of film music and the role film composers play.  We end the quarter exploring video game music and creating 8-bit music to accompany a video game play through!
